Strobes=rice?

So are strobes considered rice. I don't mean the cheepo neon strobes that street lights or who ever sells I am talking the 90 watt Whelen hide away kits. I am planning on getting onto the buisness of installing emergency lighting in emergency vehicles and am going to use my car as a demo car. It will be mostly hide aways and LED's but if I go to car shows and down to the local hang out(giving demos with the lights of course) will I catch hell for being a quote ricer or should I just leave them off. Just curious, thanks......

I was gonna say:
"unless it is a BC4 Camaro, or a converted cop car, then:

But since it will help out your business or whatever, thats cool. I would not use it in public though.

Hmm, I will just keep em off in public. It will be tempting to turn em on because the car will look like an under cover car

Hahha for real, I saw a blue LT1 off the side of the freeway, I'm thinking he broke down, hells nah it was HPD clocking a way. I gave the nice 60MPH smile as I passed by. I always thought the blinking wig wag cop lights look cool as hell. Just as long as you said, they aren't behind me.

On the camaro(except 98 and newer) you actualy cannot install them in the headlight it self because it is glass. I already have the wig wags and tail light flashers installed and am waiting to order the strobe packs, leds and traffic adviser. It is just for demo but you could do hide aways in the parking lamps which is what I am going to do. They are expensive!!! They are not the Street Glow special they range from 200.00 to 800.00 depending on how many heads you want and what watage pack you want. They are the same thing seen on police cars in the corner lenses and tail lights. You can go out and purchase this stuff but it is way illigeal to use on the street and in my case is only for demo and show nothing else.But the packs and hideaways are simple to install and are programable for flash patterns.That and if they are in the amber lamps in the front and clear or amber in the back you run less of a risk of law enforcment agencys giving you hell.But it is very doable

Since the accostomed definition of Rice is looks, not performance, I would have to agree with everyone and YES call it RICE.

apparently from everybody else's opinion if you do something off the same old beatin path it is "rice"
but do what you want to your car!
opinions are like @*^holes, everybody has one. and yes that does include me!
if it is done in a clean not noticable way, then you shouldn't worry about anything!

I was thinking of doing this as well, just for show of course, since I do have a B4C, I just think it would add to the appearance while showing it off. I still have all the wiring Cops left that in, as well as the siren. Just need the modulators.
