I have a video clip of an LS1 camaro running a 13.25 and supposively it is stock...is this possibly...do you guys running the LS1's seriously run this low. I was thinkin like 13.8 or somethin

 

13.25 is a pretty good time for a stock LS1 f-body, but certainly not abnormal. 13.8, that's a terrible pass.

 

Believe it or not, that's quite possible. My car only turned a 14.0 last year, but the conditions were absolute crap. Just last week, I went back to the track and ran a 13.4. My car is damn close to stock, and if it had either the factory 3.23's, or the 3.42's of the M6, it would hit a 13.25 no problem. It seems that the '01/'02 LS1's with the LS6 intake are turning amazing numbers at the track, and put out good RWHP numbers too! (300+ rwhp! ).

in my down to the tires bone stock M6 2000 SS I pulled a 8.7sec 1/8mi run with a crap 60' of 2.2. 8.7 in the 1/8 equals about a 13.4-13.5sec 1/4. so yes a 13.2 is possible. some (very few) have hit the 12's mostly stock

Haven't you raced an LS1 yet? This is fairly common.

Most are in the mid 13s when stock. But then there's that top quartile in the low 13s (or better).

 

It all depends on the 60ft. There are people who have run in the high 12's with a lid and a 60ft under 2 secs. If Motor Trend can run a 13.4 stock in a 02 SS then with practice a 13 flat is very possible.

I've never taken my LT1 to the track, and as for the street, I have a ticket so i dont do a whole lot of street racing.

I did race a 4.6 gt the other day....like a 96 im guessin... it has a saleen body kit on it and wing and says saleen down the side, but i think it is just a mustang gt. Sounded like it had headers, intake, catback....the average bolt ons...We rolled form liek 45, i just dropped to 3rd and he was barely inching on me..he put like 2 inches on me. If i had dropped into 2nd i would've taken em im guessin but didnt feel like it and wasnt sure if it was good to drop that low going 45 on a stock car. o well...i just didnt know the LS1's could run that low until i saw that clip

 

Didn't Rob (Robvas) run 13.08, or something...? I think he did that with a lid and a Loudmouth, but still...

I need to take my car to the track some time, too and see what it runs... Maybe I can break into the 14's...

I think they just ran out of f-body crates and just started throwin in the non-detuned ( ) vette engines or something
