Stock LS6 intake vs Weiand or Lingenfilter.
Stock LS6 intake vs Weiand or Lingenfilter.
I tried a search but it wasn't responding.
Does anyone know of performance gains on the stock LS6 intake vs the Weiand or Lingenfilter metal LS6 Style intakes? Forgive my spelling.
I know the metal intakes can be kind of a heat sink. On that note, I've temp tested the stock intake on a running engine in 85* weather w/ the 160 stat. THe top of the intake was shot at 131*, and the base read 143*..
Is there an intake runner length, or volume difference on the metal intakes? The runners on the LS6 are a little bigger then the stock LS1 intake, right? -That's where the performance gain comes from..... Yeah/neah?

Huh... I'm mostly wondering about runner length, if there is any difference.
It'd be nice to have a nice polished piece, but if it doesn't perform, I'm not going to spend that kind of money.
