starting problem
I am having this wierd starting problem every once in a while. I will do everything normal, put on the key and everything seems to be working. If I turn it to "run" all the guages come on and so do the power accesories. Every once in a while when I push the key past "run" and into "start" it wont do anything at all. There are no stater noises or anything. Usually on the next try it will start up though. I had this problem "fixed" about three months ago at a dealership, and it worked fine untill about 3 weeks ago. It doesnt do this evertime, and if i remeber about the problem and turn the key a little harder/further then normal it seems to help. Do yall think this is an ignition switch also??

i had the same problem..check the ignition relay under the hood..read the lid of the fuse box, you will see a starter relay and an ignition relay..take the relays and switch them..if your car starts you have a bad relay..if that don't work check your key..the chip in your key may be dirty or not reading..hope that helps..

I had the same problem on my '88 Formula. It turned out that the battery connection was corroded. Go under the hood the next time it won't start and wiggle the battery connections. If it starts then it's your connections.Good luck...
