Stand by... The Black SS of Death is coming...

Complete rebuild approved by spousal unit.

Now it gets ugly...

Specs? You want specs? BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

347/348 cubic inches

Stock crank
Forged Diamond Nitrous Pistons, 11.2:1 compression
Diamond Piston Rings
Forged Callies Rods
Billet Main Bearings
ARP Main Studs
Ported Oil Pump
Cloyes/Hutton Timing Chain

Ready for the big guns yet? Here they come:

Stage 2 Modern Musclecar heads with Titanium retainers, frigging huge valve springs, 2.02/1.57 stainless valves

SOLID ROLLER 248/254 duration, .700 lift, 109 degree lobe separation angle cam.

To give you an idea of how big this cam really is, the GM Hotcam only has .525 lift.

ISKY Solid Lifters
T&D Adjustable Rockers
ARP Head Studs

Weiand Intake Manifold
Ported Throttle Body
42.5# MSD Injectors
Billet Fuel Rails
Electric Water Pump

Combo is worth 500rwhp@6800 rpm NATURALLY ASPIRATED and will spin to 7600 rpm. I plan on shifting at 7000-7200.

Over the top goes the 150hp Wet Nitrous Kit.

That's 650rwhp, or roughly 750 horsepower at the flywheel for those of you that are counting.

There can be only a few.... and they all have to be black... ummm... and SS's too...

I kinda skipped right over "mildly lumpy" and "yeah, it lopes" straight on to "how come it keeps shaking the SS badges off"!

More like, "how come I have to adjust my valves every 2000 miles?".

why not just get a nice forged bottom end, and a t88 and have MORE power?

Because the turbo kit alone will cost more than I have in the engine IN TOTAL.

AND...

I am aware of VERY FEW 650rwhp single turbo setups, especially ones that can adapt instantly to higher displacement.

Significant issues exist with every single turbo kit I have looked into, and cylinder pressure becomes deadly.

AND...

Want 750rwhp out of it? Re-jet and hang on.

Sounds sick! but i suggest a new fast intake not a weiland since it is prone to heat soke and has issues with seating properly. The fast is made out of the same material as a stock intake but flows alot better and also has ports for direct port nitrous if you ever wanted to use them.

So, you're saying my Red SS can't be a black SS of death? DISCRIMINATION!!!!! lol Why not just call it "Black Death"? It brings warm feelings of The Plague.

Sounds like it'll be mean. Hope you set aside cash for a 12 bolt or 9" if you don't already have one. I have yet to even get an air lid. So much catching up to do....

Why is your name Black Sunshine, when Rob Zombie was singing about a 400 horse Mustang in that song?

The wheels of his Mustang exploding on the highway like a slug from a 45. True death. 400 horsepower of maximum performance, piercing the night. This is Black Sunshine.
