Squeaky Rear

Hey guys, this sound has been around for a little while .. Doesn't sound like anynthing serious but I thought I'd get some input ... Whenever my rearend goes over bumps or when I come to a stop I get a squeak from the rear. A couple months ago I had almost the exact same sound and my mechanic replaced a bad bushing ... your ideas? Thanks.

Sean

Sounds like a spring. It's happened on numerous peoples' cars.

If it's high-pitched then it may be your hatch.Try un-screwing the 2 rubber stops on the hatch itself to put more pressure on the latch when it is closed. If that doesn't work then take some black electrical tape and wrap it around the "u" shaped bar on your hatch that goes down into the latch. What happens is that the latch gets loose over time and the bar will move a little when driving over bumps. That's where the squeak comes from.
