Squeaking noise at Cold Start - Belt or Pulley?

Every time I start my car in the morning, especially when it's cold outside or it's left sitting for a few hours, I'm getting a squeak around the belt area. As I speed up the squeak speeds up or slows down as I slow down. It's getting slowly but surely progressively worse each cold start. However the Squeak silences out and sometimes completely vanishes as the car warms up, especially after freeway driving... What does this sound like? Bad belt or Pulley?

belt most likely, make sure you check the pulleys(for wear, spin smooth, ect.) when you have the belt off

Don't know how many miles you have but if it's time for belt jus get one and try it. Otherwise, next time before you start it, take the belt off and check the ilder pullies, if they feel nice and smooth it's probably the belt.

If that doesn't fix it, it could be the water pump. My dad's Yukon does this a lot in cold weather until the truck in warmed up. He replaces the belt about once a year also. The pump has been squeaking in cold weather for years without any problems...if the pump is the case I wouldn't worry about it too much.
