Squeaking noise after spec stage 3 install

I just had the flywheel and a SPEC 3 clutch kit. i thought the noise was a belt or a pully, but i noticed when i would press the clutch the squeaking would go away. i went ahead and took the car back to the shop where i had the work done and they said that it is normal for the high performance clutches to make that noise. i found this the be weird and had never noticed this before. anybody else have the same issues or have heard of this to be true? also the flywheel is not a SPEC and it is a high performance steel flywheel. thanks for any input yall might have.

My spec stg 4 carbon disk, with no springs on the hub - aka race clutch; squeaks "sometimes"; if Im not really careful when pulling out from a stop in 1st gear. and ONLY then. from a dead stop, pulling away easy in 1st gear.

Im not clear from your post if it squeaks ALL the time, untill you push in the clutch; or what. If thats the case, its not normal. With the pedal out, the disc should be Locked onto the PP and flywheel. OR its slipping.

Maybe they have the setup wrong and didn't check whether they needed to shim, or not to shim the slave cylinder.

and I forgot to mention that maybe it could be a pilot bearing or maybe the throwout bearing? Did they install a new slave with the install? if so, its not likely the TO bearing. the slave comes with a new one IIRC.

Re: Squeaking noise after spec stage 3 install

sorry if i wasnt clear in my post. it does squeak almost always without the pedal pushed. as soon as i push the pedal it goes away let it off it come back. i can pump the pedal 3-5 times and the sqeaking will go away for a bit but then come right back the next time i let let off the clutch. also when i turn the car off i can hear the noise untill what ever is making the noise stops spinning, i guess. its weird and i didnt think this should be normal, i will take it by another shop and see what they say then go back to the other guys and pitch a fit. the kit did come with the throw out bearing also

Sounds like it might be a bad throwout bearing. If the shop is not really careful when they align the pressure plate the input shaft on the trans could have damaged the bearing slightly causing it to squeak. You will most likely have to take that apart. The flywheel is not your problem and I've had 2 specs in my car and never heard a peep out of them.
