Thumbs up SPM & HPTuners Dyno Results

Since last time we dynoed only 400 rwhp and 460 rwtq with our restrictive LS6/stock throttle body, I decided to go all out on our intake setup. I ordered a GMPP carb intake and had it modified for EFI and ported for the Strictly Performance Motorsports heads, this thing looks better than pictures. We also got a 100 degree Wilson Manifolds 90mm elbow (mofified to match the ported GMPP intake) to bolt up an Accufab 90mm 5.0L throttle body. After adjusting the injector table for the new 40lbs/hr injectors, we made our first pull. Ken of HPTuners started to dail in the AFR, after a couple of passes, we were happy with the results. We dynoed 451.2 rwhp @ 6220 rpms and 508.6 rwtq @ 3445 rpms! This is still on a 1998 stock short block (block, pistons, crank, rods) with about 90K miles. On Thursday it is Super Chevy Show time and we should run 10s out there.

A HUGE Thank You goes out to Rob Barth of Strictly Performance Motorsports and Ken Cannata of HPTuners for their (above and beyond) help on this project! Thank you very much guys!

Here are the pictures of my new intake setup! Excuse the mess, we are going to get that intake tube painted black and clean up the engine bay later.

Thanks guys!

I think it is due to the converter multiplying the torque, but It could be the intake and cam are very well matched. I like the Ultra-Z hood idea.
