Post Spectacle Solutions SFC's

I was thinking about ordering a set of these along with a STB. I was wondering if anyone has tried these and are you satisfied and are the holding up well?
Thanks in advance,
John

I dare you to ask this question at West Tennessee F-Body Association's web site (www.wtfba.org) You will get a resounding vote of confidence.

I have Spectacle Solutions SFC, STB and short stick on order.

I've had mine on order for about 3 weeks.

In case you don't realize it, Spectacle Solutions is made up of two guys (brothers) working out of one's garage. The parts are hand made and they are made in batches.

What that means is that he's not making a set every time an order comes in. He's going to wait until he gets enough orders to make a whole lot of them at once.

I have a little saying that I use all the time:

FAST ... GOOD ... INEXPENSIVE ... Pick any two.

You can get good quality and get it fast, but it won't be inexpensive. You can get it cheap and fast, but it won't be good quality. Or, in the case of Spectacle Solutions, you can get good quality and inexpensive, but you won't get it fast.

Your call ... if you want good quality and fast, then plan on spending the $200+ for SLP or Kenny Brown double diamond SFCs. Personally, I'll just hang on to my money and wait for Spectacle Solutions to get a batch ready.

Oh, for what it's worth ... they guy says that I will have my SFC's and STB by my birthday, July 19.

I am another Satisfied Spec. Solutions customer. I have the Short Stick and for $25, its a awesome deal. I love it. Brian, of the owners, is a soon to be father and has a full time job, so hes busy and builds these things when he has a chance, He can't satisfy everyone. Like RNCotton said, it might be easier to go with another set if you don't want to wait, but it bet the Spec. Solutions, will be a better quality so... ???

Well, Brian (the guy who builds the stuff) sent me an e-mail last night and told me that it's going to be a while before he gets another batch together.

He recommended that I buy somewhere else if I need them anytime soon.

You know ... I really want to support the local guy, and from what I understand, his product is superior to most other SFC's on the market. However, I'm not sure how much longer I want to wait.

He was supposed to have everything for me the weekend of the 20th. Then he had to postpone until the weekend of the 27th. Now I get the e-mail saying that he's out of gas for his welder and doesn't know when he's going to get the stuff built.

I'm about at the end of my patience ... but I really want his product, so I guess I'll wait a little longer.

How much ground clearance do you lose with these? I've been thinking about getting a set for a while now, but I don't want to lose much clearance...

Thanks,
Nate
