Post This sounds like a good price too me.....

Its a 2001 black ss,black leather, loaded with everything, only thing wrong with it, it has like 2 small scratches on the hood, but it has 15,990 miles on it. They are askin 20,995. Is the insurance any diffrent for the ss or is it the same as a z28? Let me know, the car might not last long.

You might have a bit of negotiating room on the price. Insurance companies charge the same to insure a Z28 as an SS. I've owned both and they're in the same class. Good luck. Brent

My insurance company (State Farm) charges slightly more to insurance an SS and even a tad more for an SS anniversary. It's because the cars cost more to replace.

Depends on where you are, insurance companies use stats of wrecks and so forth and they also look at the sticker value of the car. They have no idea what the difference between an SS and a z28 is other than price and that it looks faster, the one thing mine knows is that they are both classed with the corvette . If it is different it wouldn't be by much, probably 10 dollars a month at the most. That sounds like a good price maybe 2000 off i would say. Seems to be in good shape. they usualy take off about ~100 dollars per scratch or wiskey dent. Who cares about that though, i would drive it, take it on the free way to see if it vibrates, usualy warranty wont fix vibrations.

The insurance should be the same. Good luck with the car.
