Post $28,000 for 2002 loaded SS

just thought I'd let everyone in the Houston area know that I was at Bill Heard yesterday looking around and I talked a salesman down on a sunset orange metallic, loaded, leather, t-tops, and slp 345 hp package to $28K. I thought that was a pretty good deal, especially for this area, and i think there was some more room there, because I wasn't negotiating hard at all. they also offered me 15K for my car, and with 60,000mi i thought that was ok for a trade in too. Sticker price was 42,000 by the way...Whoaa!

Question

Is this car a A4 or M6 ?

God, it's like dealing w/ Satan himself talking to Bill Heard salespeople, though !!

(Well, some of them.)

I remember when a friend of mine & I were looking for new trucks for him. We just drove in - did not even get out of his old truck & had 5 or 6 of these guys hovering around us.

It looked like flies on - well, you know !

The time we did talk to one, he was younger & pretty cool , but then an older guy got involved & was trying to play the "hard sell" game.

I did not care for that one bit - plus, his lack of product knowledge was annoying.

My wife & I were completely ignored one time when we were actually looking & in the market - I guess we did not look "spendy" enough.

BUT ...

For a SOM '02 A4 , and 0% for 60 mos, I might be willing to hold down my disgust.

Did they have a "market adjustment" on the car ?

I saw an '01 SS when we looked @ the trucks that was pumped up by about 4 - 5 K .

Yeah, right Bill.

Thats a GM employee discount kind of price! I got my 99 SS for $28K off a $31K sticker. If your serious about getting a new SS that would be the one to get.

SOM is Sweet IMO!

well, I'm not really in the marker for a new car, i just thought i'd let everyone know about what i thought was a good find, if anyone was looking. i dont car for bill heard personally, i was just bored and it's close by. not sure on the a4 m6 thing, but they had 2 of them, both slp loaded, one with t-tops and one without.

Here's my reply -

don't pin yourself down now, ya hear ?

Britt,
an orange automatic is due in now. I am gone on vacation, but Blair Nixon is
the and can handle all of the paperwork. Give him a call at 281-491-9000 and
have him get the car ready.
