Angry So close but so far away!!

Well lets start out by saying that I have been working on my 2001 SS everynight since January. It was wrecked all over and everything is put all back together so today I finally felt like getting it going since my inspection is set for this friday. I grabbed a couple gallons of anti freeze and started pouring. Well it wasn't long before I started to hear it splattering on the ground. We looked up under the car and saw were the anti freeze was coming out from. I guess my next 2 nights will be spent taking out my radiator and putting a new one in. I just can't wait until I do get to hear it running and then drive it for the first time.

Well that is why anyone who has worked on cars before will tell you, pour straight water in the cooling system and start it up just to make sure you don't have any leaks.. Then when there is not any leaks drain radiator and then refill w/ 50/50 Mixed coolant and run it again...

Sorry to hear that happened but now you have to buy more coolant... Hopefully when you do get the new Radiator, use water the first time...
