Re: SLP Y-pipe question

not really a good mod. You would be better off with a torque converter.

Re: SLP Y-pipe question

it's a good waste of money.

the stock cats are the main restriction in the stock ypipe...not so much the Ypipe itself. you may pick up 2-3hp....nothing to write home about.

Re: SLP Y-pipe question

Save your money. Only y-pipe worth looking into would be a cheap, used off-road y-pipe that gets rid of your cats. Even then, why not use that money towards long tubes?

Ditto.

I found out 2 weeks after my SLP y-pipe was installed that it won't bolt up to headers. It's worth maybe 1 RWHP if you're lucky.

Like everyone else said, it's a waste of money. This was one of my 1st mods, and I regret it. It's usually good for -1 to +1 hp.

Re: SLP Y-pipe question

i agree with the rest of the guys, you should wait to get an off road y until you get headers, get the whole set-up together. I have also heard that SLP Y's are not very good and overpriced.

Re: SLP Y-pipe question

I had this y pipe on my car about 2 years ago along with the flowmaster american thunder catback before I went with headers and true duals. I noticed NO difference in performance between the stock y and slp's. The only way I see that you would gain any performance with this y-pipe is if you removed your cats when you installed this y-pipe.
