They already have a lid and a catback too I think but I'm not too sure. Basically they have basic mods most people do anyway. So, yes, it has more hp than stock but not anything significant.

Not much performace...but some. If I know what I know now I would have saved the $$ on my WS6 and bought a formula, mostly because I replace all the performance parts that came with the WS6 (lid, exahust) and now i'm looking into new rims (better rims came with the WS6 package) so that means I paid $3500 for a hood after I mod the car with what I want. Live and learn I guess

Other than the lid and exhaust, nothing SLP added to an SS made any more horsepower. Here is a partial list of their options:
dash plaque
key fob
car cover
rear deck mat
high gloss grill
center mounted exhaust
cast aluminum differential cover
chrome wheels
bilstien shocks
BFG KD tires
Auburn differential

People forget that an SS started out as a Z28 which was shipped to SLP where the hood, spoiler, 17"wheels, muffler, and lid were added. It looks better but it's still just a dressed up Z28.

more Z28's then SS's

I thought I read somewhere also that there were more Z28's made in 02, then SS's. Then I found this, https://www.camaroz28.com/articles/0...rs/index.shtml More Z28's then SS's.

Didn't the 02 ss claim 25 more horses than the Z28? If so i would think there would be just a little performance difference.

The extra 25 hp was from their lid and muffler. It didn't show up on the dyno or on the track.

There is no way in hell that a GM SLP specialty car was produced more than a common "every dealer has one" Z28. The power increase are minimal. Not every SS has a performance cat-back. Some have a standard exhaust with stainless tips the $700 dual/dual like I have and then the $1,200 center mount. The standard SS claims 325, with the dual/dual and centermount 345!
