SLP LT'S finally in!! But..

I don't have the Y-pipe installed yet, nor the cats. Gonna have that done tomorrow (Saturday). What a rumble!! Drove it home (5/10ths of a mile from the garage) open header-style!! Talk about loud !!
Got a question though ; will driving open-header damage my PCM/engine any It'll only be for another 5 miles or so, when I get to my muffler guy down the road. Ideas, comments, please post 'em!!

Congrats on getting your headers in. Far as I know running open headers will not hurt a thing. It is not much different than having dual cut outs.

True, but I don't have the rear O2 sensors installed yet. That's what concerns me. If I had O2 simms, I wouldn't worry bout it as much. Will that make a difference?

Whether or not the rear O2 sensors are connected doesn't matter other than the fact you'll get an SES light, it has no effect on performance.

It will not hurt your engine, but you might throw a code...again no harm!

Well, now I have the Y-pipe in place, and still no cats!! Hadda "reconfigure" my exhaust system to fit... SLP Y-pipe didn't exactly "bolt up" as advertised. Have run the car all day, several stops in between, and still no SES light. Got all the O2 sensors installed too. HMM....wonder what's goin' on.... Hey, not complaining, if I can run off-roads and not trip the computer, I'm happy!! Although I am coming up for emissions inspection soon. The guy I go to still does the sniffer up the tailpipe, no PCM tap. Should I roll the dice, or play it safe and get the ORP's?
