slp loudmouth

ive been reading that , practically nobody here recommends putting on headers with the loudmouth cause its loud as hell, is there a muffler that can be put in place of the resonator, or do i have to buy a different set up........im used to the loudmouth now, the first 100 miles or so i had headaches....but now it doesent phase me.

An 18" Dynomax bullet would probably quiet it down a little.

...I wish it was a little..but really not much..I've got FLP's with ORP and a loudmouth and I wish I have never got it..the loudmouth that is..do you think putting another bullet in where the cross over pipe goes would help?

Its not to bad if you leave the cats on, but without them its way to loud. Just get a regular mufflered exhaust and slap a cut out on it.

Sleeper, I'm not sure what you're saying.

That you have a bullet in place of the resonator? Or no bullet and just the LM resonator?

If you have a bullet on there already and it's still too loud, then yeah, try adding one more, a 12" or 18".

If you just have the resonator, then try adding a bullet, or replacing the resonator with a bullet.

If it's still too loud after a couple bullets, then just sell it and get something else (I know that's not what you want to do though).

Or...you could always ditch the resonator (or bullet) and get an actual muffler, like a Borla XR-1.

You can cut that out and put a muffler in with no problem, buy a summit turbo muffler and have someone weld that in. It'll quite it down a bit.
