SLP LM vs. Magnaflow (post pics)

Trying to decide between the SLP LM with the 3.5" Slash tips and the Magnaflow cat-back for my 98. It will probably come down to what kind of deal I can get on either one, I'm also trying to get an idea of what it'll look like on the car so post some pics for me! The Magnaflow might be a bit quiet but I havent ruled out the Flowmaster American Thunder since I've actually heard that on a WS6.

I don't have pics of either, but they are two totally different systems. Check my sig for what I have. I've heard the LM on cars that are like mine (almost stock), and it's LOUD. The Magnaflow is much quieter, but it still gets noticed. It's much louder than a stock exhaust system. It's nice and deep sounding too. The LM is just too loud, especially if you're going to do mods that will make you louder (!cats, heads/cam, etc...).

As already stated, they are completely different systems. If you plan on keeping your car fairly stock and want it loud, you could go with the Loudmouth. If you plan on doing headers your noise tolerance might be tested with it though. I went with Magnaflow, because it isn't overly loud in stock form. It is very refined and deep sounding.
On the looks part, I am quite pleased with the Magnaflow. I originally had low expectations on the tips, and even had ordered a different set. They look great on the car, and tuck up under nicely. Sorry no pics... Good luck!

That pretty much comes down to personal preference. IMO the Dynomouth sounds good. It is on the loud side though. If headers are in your plans, you may want to look elsewhere.

I don't have any great pictures of my Magnaflow catback but if you view the pictures in my webshots album in "full size" you can get a good idea. At first I thought the 3.5" tips were too big for my car but I've grown to love them. The tips and muffler are both polished and the whole system is great quality..

The Magnaflow is louder and deeper than stock. I think the loudmouth would be cool for a while but it would eventually get old.My Formula

I didn't like the tips that come with the Magnaflow catback (or the price of the catback) so I went with the Magnaflow 14266 muffler, new 2.5" tailpipes, and chrome square Z28 tips. The magnaflow sounds great without being too loud. I'm very happy with my Magnaflow decision.

I had my Magnaflows installed the day after Xmas , so now they are well broken in. I like, make that LOVE, the way they sound. They look cool too. When I first got them, I too thought the tips would be too big, but I really love 'em now.
