I was wanting to know if not putting on the gasket supplied with my lid and K&N is going to hurt anything? When I put on the lid I couldnt see where the little gasket fits? Any help would be appreciated.

 

I would use the gasket. It goes on the airlid to help seal the filter to the top. I didn't use mine and slowly lost power. Took off my airlid to find a bunch of debris on my maf screen.

ok. When i got my lid the picture they showed me was a stock lid and I know its suppose to go on the top of the lid but i didnt see where the gasket was long or wid enough to fit the top of the lid.

 

Look at your lid from the outside. flip it over so you see the inside. put the gsaket on the thin rectangular surface. thats where it goes. Hope this helps.

 

I have a LS1 Motorsports lid, and a K&N filter. I bought the car used about a year ago. I don't have any gasket seal or anything like that. Just the lid and the filter. What am i missing? What is it doing to my performance? And what can I do about it???

If you need the gasket for the lid, just email K&N and tell them you need one. That's what I did. I sent an email saying that I recently bought a new lid and I needed a new gasket for it to go along with the K&N I already have. They sent me 2 free of charge. I didn't even have to pay shipping.
