my exhaust touches the heat shield right over the rear axel. It is where the over axel bolts to the underside of the car. anyone have any fixes?

 

remove the heat shield or try to adjust the clamps so the over the axel piece is angled differently

 

I would remove the heat shield personally. Thats a rather in-effective area to have heat shielding anyway.

Your passengers in the rear seat might just have a warm ride.

 

thats what i wanted to do..but everyone said NO! it could make too much heat and discolor the seats, or worse, start a fire. i thought that was a little over the top!

i can not adjust any of hte clamps, it is right were it bolts to underside of the car.

will take the heat shield off!
