SLP complete intake package by afterthoughts auto

Has anyone bought/heard about the LS1 intake system package deal going through afterthoughts auto? It claims over 20rwhp gains for only $450 plus shipping. It includes the following...

SLP High Flow Mass Air Flow Sensor (Part #23060/23062)
SLP Air Box Lid (Part #21044/21045)
SLP Cold Air Induction Kit (Part #21033)
SLP High Flow Bellows Kit (Part #23065)
K&N O.E. replacement high flow air filter.

Sounds like a good deal to me. Question is, is it worth the money? Will over 20rwhp gains be real? Would it be better to go with a different sort of induction setup? Any comments would be great

Are you sure you have the right section? Your sig lists V6...

Anyway... Never heard of Afterthoughts Auto, so can't comment on them.

Price seems to be lower than if you buy directly from SLP. So..., if they can deliver, what the heck.

20 rwhp? Maybe... You have to take all the advertising claims with a grain of salt, you know.

However, if you are planning on improving the induction system in your car, with this package you have pretty much covered everything.

Then it is off to improving the exhaust.

Later!

i personally have the slp intkae lid and "super sucker" cold air kit, and a k&N filter(which badly needs to be cleaned/re-oiled)....no bellows or aftermarket MAF....

i don't really hold aftermarket MAF's, and bellows to a very high esteem...i just don't think they do enough....the only time i might invest in either is when my car is already pushin really high power and i figure those little things might be worth the money....but as of right now, me being near stock, i don't think it's worth the money for the difference they'll provide for my car.

who knows what all that together would actually put down to the ground....20rwhp sounds a bit high, but what do i know. if you are overall worried about cost vs. performance gains....i would suggest just getting a lid (any maker would do, they're all the same basically) and do the free ram air mod....see how you like that....and go from there for your intake needs.

i believe www.lmperformance.com just dropped the price of their slp intake lid...so maybe go check their for possibly a better price than others...good luck, and hope this helped somewhat.

SLP has a special on lids with a small visual blemish: $74.95 + shipping.

Comes to about 85 bucks shipped. Not bad!

Get a lid cai and a cat back system. I think you will see better gains that way

sounds like a good deal to me. You can install everything yourself too. I say go for it. But look for 15rwhp. Probably.
