SLP Airlid Question

I have decided that the SLP airlid is the way I want to go. My question is this:

Where's the absolute CHEAPEST I could buy it? And please don't say Ebay, there's a guy selling them there for the "blow-out" price of "only" $94.77, all well and good, but he wants $16.50(?!) for shipping. The best I've seen is on www.fbodymotorsports.com for like $92.00 and shipping is twelve or thirteen bucks.

So, anyone have any suggestions? Hell, I'll even consider a lightly used pre-owned lid. Just looking for parts the cheapest I can get them. Help a fellow F-body enthusiast out!

call SLP and ask about their blemished lids. they have almost invisible casting marks on them. mine had a tiny circle on the side of it. well worth it, if they have any left. i paid just over 60 bucks for mine, and it looks flawless.

I just got mine over the weekend from www.slponline.com and with shipping mine came out to $112 from NJ. The guy I talked to was Dana.

I've been pretty happy using http://www.stealthperf.com

I bought my lid from there in the last month and spent $102 with shipping. They have fairly decent prices and quite reasonable shipping . . . especially on BMR items

The only thing that sucks is that they are in Oregon so it's a long wait if the item isn't drop shipped. I live in Florida and UPS ground is a long trip from Oregon.

PS - I also chose to not buy from SLP & one other site that was *cheapest* because they charged tax for Florida

Thumbs up

For Sale-sections of various F-body message boards are usually full of used lids for sale.

Just keep your eyes open and one will pop up very soon. Take your time and you'll find a good deal.

I bought mine for $65.00 shipped (from Canada) last year from a member of the now-defunct SLP message board. Lid had never been installed.

Happy hunting!
