Slight problem with Pro 5.0, and not notchy

Okay, the Pro 5.0 with Lou's short stick is in. A couple of questions for others with the Pro 5.0:

I cut the rubber boot in order to fit it under the "gold ring". Well it seems like a purpose of that boot was to keep any sound from coming through. Now I can hear air, and a bit of my exhaust tone coming through. Nothing I can't live with, but just wondering if anyone else noticed this, and if there is a solution.

Second, when shifting into reverse, i'm hitting the side of the console. It kinda pushes the leather boot up against the console and the shifter is right up against the leather, and rubs as I push it forward into reverse. Anyone else have this?

I just finished the same setup a few days ago, the pro5.0 and lss... As far as the rubber boot goes, I think it is more for dust then road noise, so as long as it fits tight, i wouldn't be worried about the road noise.. mine is louder then stock, but I got used to it fast. As far as reverse goes, I have a bit of room for reverse, matter of fact I think I have more room then with the stock hurst.. I will double check on the way home, and post later.. gl

Haha, never mind, I figured it out....I bolted LSS to the wrong side...I need to move it from the right side, to the left, lol. Well, that's tomorrow's 5 second project. Don't mind me folks
