Should I get headers??????

I hear everyone saying not to bother with shorties but I do a lot of driving down country roads that are bumpy and hilly, so I dont want to be scraping long tubes constantly. So should I even bother with headers, and will I be able to get into the low 12's without that step?????

Headers are a big help, yah you can get into the 12's without them, its called nitrous. There is a performance difference between the shorties and the long tubes, unless those are really messed up roads, I dont think scraping would be a huge problem.

You'd have to be driving on some really sh**ty roads to scrape on a car that's not lowered. Most LTs have pretty good ground clearance, not as good as the stock manifolds or shorties (obviously) but it ain't that bad. IMO, headers are a definite must if you want to go fast N/A.
