short shifter
I've got the Pro 5.0 and I'm very pleased with it. The adjustable stops prevent you from bending the shift forks, so you can just slam the gears and the stops will do the rest. Easy to find the gears with it too, no more missed 2-3 shifts. I've driven a buddy's Camaro with the B&M Ripper and I just didn't like it.
You won't need a shop to install a shifter.
The hardest part will be getting the console off - once you have that beat, it's all easy from there.
I like my Ripper, although I've never tried a Pro 5.0.
You're going to hear great things about whatever shifter a person has in their ride.
Few people have actually tried all of them.
Good Luck!

I have driven both, 5.0 and B&M and I like the Ripper Shifter better. It just felt more solid to me. Others will say the same thing or the opposite so it's just up to you how much you really want to pay, not that the 5.0 is much more expensive.
