Service Engine Soon light

My SERVICE ENGINE SOON light came on and everything seems fine. Supposedly my wife drove about 8 miles the other evening and halfway home the light came on and has been on since. Any ideas?

Go to AutoZone and they will scan it for you for free. It could be one of a million things, but they will be able to tell you or at least give you the code.

My left cadliacic converter went bad and my light came on for that. The lady at the shop said it could be two billion things

P.S. I spelled cadliacic very very wrong sorry

Ok heres the deal. When you get a SES it could be any number of codes ranging from very bad to not a big deal.

But without that code NO ONE on this board will be able to give you any clue about what it is. We can only guess. You have 3 choices, 1 go to Autozone and get it scanned, 2 buy autotap and scan it yourself, or 3 take it to the dealer and get it fixed.
