Generally the ses light is concerning your emissions system. It can range from something small to something big. People ask what reason there ses is on. But most likely you want know untill you take it to a mechanic and put in on a computer. My experinces has usually resulted in something minor. Our computers are equipped with OBD II which has very strict guidlances on the variances allowed within emision law limits. The slightest thing off can trigger the ses light.

hay man just take the car to your local Autozone, they'll check the code for free and if its is some kinda emissions bs they'll give u a price on the part that made ur SES light come on, again free, ask them for a print out sheet on lets say an EGR valve or whatever...

It could be anything. You won't know till you pull the code from the computer. A list of mods might help. Some mods are known to throw codes sometimes. I've had mine throw a code while driving hard that was just a low efficiency reading on the driver side cat. Basically it was running too rich after I installed my Predator reprogrammer. I cleared it and it never came back. I have since leaned out the programming a bit too.

Pull the code.
