For some reason my service engine soon light came on for no reason. I have no idea what could be wrong with it. I thought about resetting the computer but i could remember how. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

 

turn off the car, turn the key into position 1, and push down reset button on your gages for about 15 seconds untill the oil button blinks.

 

I'd get the code read before resetting it. If you don't have access to a scan tool Autozone will read it/delete it for free. If you just want to reset it and see if it returns:

Turn key on - don't start car
Pull PCM BATT and PCM IGN fuses in engine compartment
Wait 5-10 minutes
Turn ignition off
Replace fuses

 

I did the odometer thing and it didn't go off, but after i drove it for about 20 minutes on the highway, and when I got to where i was going it was off. I have no idea.

 

Pushing the Trip/Oil Reset button only resets the oil change light.
