Sealing air lid with electrical tape?

I dont think my SLP air lid is sealing very well. Would it hurt to seal it with some electrical tape all around the edges? Does anyone else have a better idea for sealing it?

Ya, get some foam rubber w/the adhesive on one side from a hardware store. Its the stuff used to seal doors etc. Run it on the bottom airbox where the lid mates up to it.

Electrical tape sticks to it's self well, but not other things. Especially in hot environments like under your hood. Hell, Duct tape would be better than electrical tape. lol

Re: Sealing air lid with electrical tape?

put the AC Delco filter back in and it should be fine..
If thats not it, make sure the tabs at the top are properly put into their place so that the lid is actually installed correctly.

Good Luck!
