Question Seafoam and my LS1

Hey guys.... with my LT1 I used seafoam 2 days before I traded it and it worked wonders!! My car has 68000 miles on it, and I was wondering how to use it in my LS1.....

I think most folks just suck it in through the brake booster. Let us know how it works. I've been thinking about using it, but afraid my neighbors will kill me for putting out a ton of smoke.

Yep, I used the brake booster vacuum line on both mine and my wifes cars to inject the sea foam. Same way I did it when I had my LT1's.

Hi everyone,
What is the deal with the seafaom and brake boosters? I thought that stuff was for cleaning fuel injectors. Please don't think I am dumb for asking.

You don't suck it into the brake booster...they are talking about the hose that goes from the engine to the booster. it has vaccuum. you suck the seafoam int hrough the hose

Where is this hose located? Is it a Good idea to just spray into the throttle body? And what are some general steps to follow while doing this procedure?

I used seafoam not to long ago on my LS1. I poured it into the hose running from the passenger side valve cover into the throttle body. Seafoam makes a separate product that you use to spray into the TB.

Re: Seafoam and my LS1

Hello I just posted this on another forum. I've been doing this for procedure since Seafoam Spray was introduced and has worked flawlessly for every car I've done this to. It doesn't even need to be an LS1 engine either, I've done it on a couple LS1's, 2005 Civic EX, '89 Buick Regal, 2000 Ram, and 2007 S-10. The procedure is simpler too than dividing your Seafoam to 3 areas, the old method. Good luck!
