you also have an intake (01's and 02's got the ls6 intake)

 

so, OP - put on a LS6 intake, and if they ask about it, claim its a factory thing

 

I've raced a handful of seemingly stock SRT4's and they can keep up, but I pull on them in high 4th, after the shift from 3rd.. maybe sooner from a 60mph roll from a 5th to 3rd gear drop. (65mph into 3rd)

And yeah.. Once they're modded, don't bother unless you're running nitrous or a nice H/C or something along those lines.. I've gotten spanked by a couple modded ones from a roll and I like to think I can drive the **** out of my car. -I didn't take that loss to easily.. I was mad to say the least..

the 97 ws6 was rated at 305 and 95-97 lt1's are rated at 285. 93-94 are 275. the ss was also 305.
