Question Reprograming PCM using LS1 edit & HPP3

Hi Everyone;

Please excuse this very novice question.

When you reprogram your PCM using LS1 edit, or HPP3, and months down the road your battery dies, do you have to do the reprograming all over? or does the PCM keep the settings that you have changed?

Thanks in advance.

As stated, your programming from LS1 edit or HPP3 programming will be stored and won't be lost.

My POS stock battery died on me and did not effect my programming for 4.10 gears.

Thank you so much for the input.

I am interested in some dyno tuning, and I don't drive the car much, so I did not want to pay for the custom tuning, only to loose it to a dead battery.

If the computer retains this information, what does it have to "re learn" when you pull the 2 fuses?

There are parameters that are set in stone by the computer and there are parameters that the computer touches up constantly to keep the car in the "best" tune. It's the ones that it touches up that are reset to base line when you reset the ECM like long and short term fuel trims, idle, current spark table, stuff like that.

so the 22hp gain was from the headers only? Corsa was already added? And also, FLP only gives 22hp increase at the wheels, I thought long tubes gave toward 30rwhp increase?
