Everyone I've known that pulled off badges used a hair dryer/heat gun to warm up the adhesive and then ran dental floss underneath the seperate the badge from the car. I don't mind the badges enough to do it, so I can't say I've ever done it this way myself. Be careful.

Why would you do this? Trying to create a 12 second V6?

Its one of the best appearance mods I did. You can just do the hair dryer and fishin line thing then use gasoline to get the rest of the glue off. Wax immediately after the gas tho.

I got so many people thinkin this thing is a 6 that track money is easy to come by.

Actually, it is my car that he is asking about. I am getting my hood replaced and needed to take them off anyway to blend the fenders. I figured I could save the 40 minute service charge the body shop included in their estimate, by doing it myself. I have yet to decide if I want to leave them off, put new ones back on, or get the older style. I kinda like the sleeper idea, but we'll have to see when they are gone

First off, v6's don't have side decals. Maybe you should learn a bit about the car before being stupid. Second, neither my girlfriend or I like them. Third, what does it matter to you if we do this or not? It's her car. Plus, when I put on her Borla exhaust we didn't really like the tips so we didn't put those on. A lot of people will think it's a v6 without badges or dual exhaust. They will be in for a surprise when it's race time.

Thanks for the actually posts about how to do this. I have a heat gun so I will try that fishing line idea.

I think thats what he was getting at, by taking off the badges you could have a car that looks like a V6 and run 12s.

Why dont you try reading the whole post before making stupid remarks.

it wasn't a stupid remark. i asked a question, you can't answer a question with a question so what was the point in asking why? it's honestly none of his ****ing business why we do what we do to her car.

And maybe you should take the time to think about what I said again since you just made a fool out of yourself. I know the V6 doesnt have decals. Which is why I asked you are you trying to make your car look like a 6, and unexpectedly run 12s when people race you. I never said there was anything wrong with it. You just created an unneccessary flame by not thinking about what you were saying.

Ok I am not choosing sides here. you two might have some beef with each other but that is uncalled for. Last I checked this is an open form. You just repeated what he was saying. I think you need to read things before you start lashing out. Well I think I’ll just skip this one too much fire in here….
