Removing PS Pully

We tried and tried and infact used 2 diffent removers. One was specificly for removing the power streering pully / something else. The other we used was a 3 claw pully. Neither worked? Cant get that damn thing off the head? How do we do it, i mean we had the 3 claw chip the back side of the pully we had it so tight, the other that was just a screw with a nut setup that would just make poping sounds when it would get tight. We sprayed it down overnight with wd40 no luck. I think this is some BS engineering by gm, some of the stuff i see anymore is obvouisly intentional in the way that they dont want the common person to work on their cars anymore. I mean on lt1/4's weve got the pully with the 3 holes in it where you just rotate to get to the bolts, why the change? Thanks for the help.

Re: Removing PS Pully

Don't need to take the pulley off. Work the mounting bolts out a little at a time evenly with an open ended wrench. Takes a little time and patience but it's not hard.

Go to www.ls1howto.com and print out the heads/cam removal/installation instructions. It outlines everything that you need to do and all of the little tricks to do it easier.
