removing exhaust... need help quick

removing exhaust... need help quick

ok... how do you release the clamp that holds the back end of the y-pipe to the single exhaust tube? i took off the nut... didn't help anything... tryed to twist and pry with a screwdriver and vice grips... no dice......


um help?

try on of the tools commonly referred to as "persuaders"

blow torch
sledge hammer
6' crowbar
channel locks

or any combination of those....

corrosion probably is keeping it together

yeah but... no theres no corrosion on it at ALL... i think it maybe aluminum

im pretty sure theres something else designed into the clamp itself thats keeping it on there so well... some sort of tension clamp?


and i don't want to break it either.... soooooo ?
