I want to know if any of you guys drive your f-body everyday without your front sway bar? I was thinking about removing mine but i dont know if its worth it. I dont drive in auto cross or anything like that. And i really dont take corners fast. What do ya'll think? thanks

I don't mean to be rude but do you think GM installed the sway bar for the hell of it, I've said this before, if GM could eliminate just one small washer they would. The front sway bar is a hell of a lot of washers, JMO.

Exactly. What if you have to swerve suddenly to miss something? W/o that sway bar your car could either snap something important, or just plain not go anywhere.

Just keep your pants.... er.... sway bars on.

Um.....................Bull. Ain't nothing going to break because the swaybar is gone. An f-body without a swaybar in front will out handle most other non performance cars on the road.
Granted you're giving up the crisp, quick handling. But in no way is it any more dangerous than driving a pickup or van. You just have to keep in mind that you're not driving a sports handling car anymore.

My swaybar has been gone for nearly 3 years. No problems.

It's not going to hurt anything at all, but for me the gains straight line were not worth the loss of crisp cornering.

Thanks for the replies. So i guess it wouldnt hurt anything. And i dont do much cornering or anything so now my question is.....Does it really help for better traction?

Definately helps weight transfer. Front end will come up higher now, easier too it seems.

Just try it and see how it is. I wouldn't drive with it as a daily driver. If you want great weight transfer then get some adjustable drag struts. Then you can set them loose on in the city and tighten them up for the highway.
