Post Reliability of a Procharger?

Im planning on buying a procharger 8 psi tuner kit for my 98 Z28 but have some concerns. Everyone I talk to whos into car tells me that everyone they know that has a procharger on a LS1 has nothing but problems. I want to talk to someone who actually owns one and can tell me if its true that they are problem prone.

No problems here. I love it, and as long as I keep my foot out of it, the car maintains excellent driveability

Where can I get one of these kits, and for how much?

Sounds like just what I've wanted.

www.procharger.com

You're looking at about $5200 or so. Expensive, but worth it for both the performance aspect and the head-turning aspect

Yes and no. You can buy and INcon TT kit used for about that much. But, they were the only kit on the market, and the owner filed for bankruptcy. Lots of people put the money up and never got a kit, or just pieces of it. There is currently no TT kit for the LS1 on the market.

Also, I paid $3300 shipped for my upgraded Procharger kit with new gauges. So shop around, you'll find a deal.

There's some other aspects. A TT kit would be nice, but the labor, parts, and tuning can make a TT kit a lot more expensive than you'd think

My experance with my ATI P600 on my LT1 is that I put it on at about 20,000 miles in june of 1996 and it is still working with no major issues. The only problem I had about 4 years ago was the original single bearing pulley seized up. I put a doulbe bear setup and is good to go. Just my 2 cents, for a LT1 setup.
