Bad synchro?

Bad synchro?
I am currently looking at '94 Z28. It pops out of 2nd gear if not placed in the gate firmly. If it is, what is involved to fix it at a rough cost? I have little experience with stick so I'd be grateful for any help. I have not driven it yet. Thanks in advance.
