Red Top owners, HELP!

I just got a Red Top, but I didn't get the 35/75 model that most ppl get. I got the 34/78 model not knowing it was different. The guy at summit racing said it would fit in just fine. I got the battery yesterday and tried putting it in. I find out it fits, but not quite perfectly. It smashed up against the tube going into the radiator (i think it is at least). The Battery handle is also extremely close to the radiator. I'm thinkin' this is a problem. Any advice as to what I should do? Or if anyone's done this before for a '99 LS1...

My friend has a 99 firebird and that size red top. He just had trouble getting the wires to reach the battery terminals but once it was in it was fine. Hes had that in there for maybe a year and hasnt had any problems.

It's a very tight fit, and that actually sounds about right.... I haven't been able to use a attery hold down w/ mine, but the radiator keeps it in check.. It fits that close .
