Do a search on the different rearends.I broke my stock axle with just ET Streets. The car was basically stock. It also depends on what you are gonna do with the car. No slicks or drag radials and you could get away with the stock rear. Any type of sticky tire and hard launches and your running on borrowed time.

It depends. There's people doing 11 seconds on a stock 10-bolt. It's more of a matter of how you treat it as opposed to the amount of HP it'll take. The 10-bolt can break at the stock HP level of an LS1. Using slicks is almost a guaranteed way to break your 10-bolt rearend. Dumping clutches doesn't help either. Sends to much shock to the rearend.

Moser seems to be the 12-bolt rearend of choice for LT1 users. I once read that they're good up to 1000 HP but that's really isn't here or there. Although they'll take more abuse it's really a matter of how they're treated.
