Rear O2 sensors

I read on this board that the rear O2 sensors have no effect on how the engine runs and are only there to give condition of the cats. My 98 has given me an O2 sensor heater circuit malfuntion for one of the rear sensors and my car is bogging down after accelerating from a stop, also at lower RPM's at highway speed. This is the only code the car has given me, is the sensor not the problem?

98 Z28 Auto trans 50K

Thank you

Re: Rear O2 sensors

have you tried replacing the front sensors? even if they are not tripping a code...could be the cause
