rear end and suspension question

If i were to replace the rear end with a 12 bolt would that interfere with any suspension mods. By this i mean what if any suspension mods i put on now would i have to take off or replace if i got a 12 bolt put on later? Do any of the suspension mods connect to the rear end. I dont want to buy suspension stuff now only to find out i would have to buy it again when i get a new rear end. Thanks

Naw, everything fits up to a 12 bolt just fine. You'll need a sway bar mount kit, which is like $50, cause the sway bar doesn't mount up to the Moser without it. Some aftermarket torque arms have be ground in a few places to fit, but any decent shop won't have a problem doing it. Other then that everything else should be no problem. I just got my Moser on and the only thing I needed was the 19mm sway bar mount kit, BMR makes it. I still got my factory torque arm though. Shocks, springs, LCA's, all that is just fine.

EDIT: But to answer the question, there's no suspension mod that you can put on now that won't work on the rear end with a little work or $50 or so.

Thank you for the reply but i dont think you quite got the jist of what i am asking. I mean is there a mod that if i put on now i would have to take it off to fit on the new rear end? Do any suspension mods attach to the rear end so if i put on something that does attach to the rear end now and later i bought a new rear end would i have to buy a new suspension piece sine the other one is attached to the old rear end. I hope that makes a little more sense. I am having trouble expressing myself on this concern sorry

Yes there is. If you put lowering springs on, lower control arm relocation brackets are recommended. If you select the bolt-on brackets you'll be able to transfer them unless you weld them on too. Of course any part that is welded onto the rear end is permanent. Otherwise everything will transfer with little or no modification.

so just the springs and relocation brackets are the only suspension mods that could be welded to the rear end?

Just the relocation brackets, springs aren't welded to anything. Just be sure you get bolt on parts and don't weld them on and you'll be ok.

I would use your money for more mods now, just use nitto's and i doubt you'll break it. and if you do 90% of the time you break the gears, you can get new ones installed for under 200.

If you have a lot of power, I wouldn't go with bolt-in LCA brackets at all. You can't drive home without a lower control arm, and the tow bill will cost you what another set of weld-ins will cost you.

Where do you go for installed gears for $200

Gears alone are $200, installation is another $200 at least, unless you want to do it yourself, but that installation is no walk in the park.
