Post Rear caliper question...

A friend told me today that the rear calipers ('98 Camaro) are dual piston aluminum. Is this true or is this guy full of it? I believe they're very similar to the rear calipers on my '89 rearend. Who's right?

Thanks and pardon the ignorance.

Nobody. The fronts are dual piston, but the rears are different than the 89's. In 89, the rear caliper had the e-brake in the caliper, where the 98+ have a separate brake mechanism for the e-brake (it is a drum inside the rotor).

Thanks for the reply. I knew about the e-brake issue but I didn't know about the calipers themselves, I got a poor description.
