Any one running an ORY (no cats) with the corsa catback and
stock manifolds? I m in California and dont want to deal with
smog and a set of LT's, but i do want a little meaner sound. what
do you guys think, would this setup be too raspy or would it
sound good?

I'm running that setup with a Borla and it's not too raspy. However, I'm sure you realize that come time to test for emissions, you will need them cats back on there. So, as long as you're up for the work, I'd say go for it!

on a 2002 isnt it just bolt on?
Is it a hard install?
also on a new car you dont have to get your first smog for 5 years, i got about 3 1/2 years to go.

If you take your time (and remember to buy new gaskets), it's fairly easy and straight forward. Just becareful not to snap the studs on the manifold...so a good amount of WD40 comes in handy. Good luck with it!

my magnaflow tends to get a bit raspy above 4K rmps....

but the eay i look at it...who the flock cares...if i'm above 4grand than i'm racing...and personally i really don't care how i sound in a race...

around town it's absolutely awesome!

Off road pipes will give you a raspy sound. I've run then on numerous catbacks and experienced some raspiness. This is even more so with a cutout. Some people installed bullets in the intermediate pipe to get rid of the raspiness. However, the sound has never bothered me any.

So correct me if im wrong, but you guys are tellin me i should get an Off road y ?

It really just depends on what kind of catback you are getting. Personally I don't think it's worth the annoying rasp to cut the cats off, as they only hold back a couple of RWHP. One "free mod" can give you that back

I'm a supporter of true duals. Go with those if you can, they aren't as expensive as a lot of catbacks, and IMO sound a LOT better (if done correctly)
