quick question re: belt replacement

Hi all,

I'm a newbie in the middle of replacing the water pump on my 98 z28. (I'm following a few threads on this site as well as the write up on LS1howto.)

While I have everything off I figured I should replace the accessory belt instead of reinstalling the old one but I'm not sure if I'll get in over my head, so my question is-- is it just as simple as throwing a new one on? The service manual doesn't mention doing any kind of adjustment when putting on a new one... Thanks in advance

very simple, there is on belt for the ac and one big belt for the other accessories. Just put a wrench on the tensioner, and move it, and the belt comes right off. If your worried about puiting it back on, just make a diagram of how its on the car, although I think there is a picture under the hood that shows how it goes on. These new serpintine belts are much easier to deal with than the old belts found on old cars, because they adjust themselves.
