quick question......

I am about to SeaFoam my engine. Is it ok to overfill the crankcase by using the SeaFoam or should I just use a little less oil to reach the full mark?.....probably a dumb question, but I gotta ask, sorry.

the small amount that the bottle will add, on top of that fact that you won't be reving it high (or shouldn't be), as well as that you will only be running it for a little while.

not to mention...most LS1s burn a little oil...so adding it at the end of an oil change interval should be no problem.

Yeah you should be using the Seafoam at the end of the oils life so it'll be down a little and even if it isn't, you're only supposed to run it in there for a 100 miles or so and it won't hurt anything to be a little overful for that short of a time.

Thanks for the info, guys. I would've run the seafoam for an entire cycle. Info like that should be on the bottle.

Thanks, man! That's awesome info....I just did the gas tank and crankcase for now, I can't find anyone that sells the "Deep Creep" spray bottle stuff for the throttle body/intake. I guess I'll just have to call around.

Thumbs up

Seafoamed the car last night......it idles/runs smoother. I can definitely tell that the engine is cleaner, but it hasn't been done for 115k so it still does ping every once in a while. Will do it again in another 10k. Hopefully that will cure my problem. Thanks again for all the help guys!

Sweet, I did my 03 GMC at 50k miles because it had some mid throttle ping under load and it went right away.
