Like it says, I need the mechanical differenced between the 2 engines, and also any reasons why american sports cars maybe better than japanease, and why pushrods arn't ancient types of engines.

Tried that and I didn't come up with much actually, just general differences. I'm looking for mechanical differences, what is different internally and general.

A search would turn up more.

Everyone calls pushrods acient- overhead valves came out first, then pushrods. (this is early 1900s)

LS1 = Aluminum LT1 = Iron

LS1 uses 4 bar Fuel Pressure vs LT1s 3 bar - long story short, this helps atomization.

LS1 has even valve setup - i e i e i e i e vs LT1 has e i i e e i i e e means less chance for hot spots between 2 exhaust ports.

LS1 internals can handle more power stock.

LS1 has a composite manifold - less heat soak.

LS1 has tubular cast manifolds - similar to a shorty header.

LS1 CR = 10.1 :1 LT1 = 10.5:1

LS1 has better flowing heads stock w/ more potential for porting.

LS1 has 1.7:1 rockers

That's all i feel like typing.
