the higher the gear ratio, the higher the acceleration, but generally the lower the top speed as well.

I read a topic eariler, and it was a huge debate over pretty much what your asking for. Id guess 3.90 from what iv read if your into the highway thing.

If long term plans involve heads/cam and what not, I'd go 3.90. With 4.10's, you'll be running out of gear by the traps assuming you're doing 120mph. If bolt-ons only are the idea and you'll be trapping 112mph or less, you may be able to get away with 4.10s. Then again, if it were me, I'd set that money aside and start saving for a Moser. Throwing performance parts at the 10-bolt in an M6 car is like pissing into the wind.

I think 4.10's will put you in 5th just in a 1/4 mile run. 3.73's are going to be a better choice for your freeway bombing and still being able to run the 1320. Either one is going to drop your mileage though.

3.73 or 3.90 based on your power level and what you want to do.

4.10s are good for around 125 mph in the 1/4 in 4th with 26" tires.

Yeah, for what you want to do? Probably 3.73's, or 3.90's at most.
