OK, here we go. There is no right answer to this monumental question and i know all of yous will say "it only matters what you like." I agree. But i just wanted to know what you guys thought of the styling on the two. I love the front end of the Ram Air but dont really like the rearend. The SS looks great from behind (love the spoiler for some reason) and the front is nice, but nowhere near the Ram Air. The Ram Air looks absolutely mean as hell, but also can look bloted, fat, and heavy from some angles. The SS looks awesome too, but lacks the visceral appeal of the Ram Air. However, it is an all around good looking car and looks bad from no angles. Well anyways, I could yap forever, so tell me what yas think.

PS i ask because im debating on which to get when i sell my 94Z and wanted to know the low down on what you guys thought.

I agree with you on the SS rear end. However, the Ram air looks mean but its too bulky for my tastes. I just like the SS styling overhall but I have always liked the Camaro's design from the appearance factors. I totally think it's unique to the driver.

 

I think both are absolutely beautiful. Can't go wrong with either.
The bird has more style and will probably draw more attention because it is more unique
The Camaro has a much more refined look, a little classier.

Where I am from I see a lot of camaros, very few birds. So maybe where your from if you want to stick out a little more go with the car you see less of.

Oh yeah people say the birds have better interiors than the camaros. I don't see a big differance, but there is a differance

 

Around here you see ALOT more Ram Air T/A's compared to SS's. I see like 2-3 WS.6's a day and then can go 3-4 days without seeing another SS. However around here we only have 1 WS.6 Formula.....if you lwant to be rare get one of those!

 

You could always take an SS and remove the front clip and fenders and put the WS6 front end on it... best of both world's!!

 

Having driven an '01 Z28 and now driving an '01 WS6, I can say that the Camaro turns a few heads, but the WS6 makes people stop in their tracks and stare!

I love driving by the elementary school in the morning on my way to work. The kids are starting to show up several times a couple of them will stop and point at my car as we creep by at 15 MPH. I always have to throw them a little rev.

The SS looks mean, but the WS6 looks mean as hell!

I used to own a V6 Camaro. I swore I'd never own a Trans Am (not because I didn't like them, just because I wanted to be a Camaro guy ). Well, time came to buy a V8, a friend of mine bought a black WS6 right about that time too. I loved Camaro SS's, but when he drove that WS6 up in my g/f's driveway when I was there, it just won me over. I mean I had seen them before of course, but I dunno, right then and there I was like "I'm gettin a WS6!". A week later I had one

I mean, I know you were like "Don't be like it's just what you want". Heh, well, that's all there is to say man! It's not our ~$20,000+, it's yours, so you should spend it on what you like, not what we like.

****, im torn.... Grdlock and Steve, I know in the end it is my choice, but i want to know whats yas think. so pretend it IS your $25000. Tell me what youd get. im leanin towrds the SS (simply because, like Grdlock, ive always been a camaro guy) but theres a NBM WS6 im my complex and every time i walk by it, even though ive seen tons of em, i cant help but stare and smile. but the SS has been my dream since, hell, 8th grade maybe?

So no answer yet, but ima find one.

I like the WS6 more then the SS. But I would not pay more then $20,000 for either. If you have $25000 I would say go out and get a used C5 vette!

 

also not being biased......I definately say get the WS6, there isnt a bigger styling standout than the four "nostrils" looking at ya when you glance at the front end. I have a 97 WS6 that has the subtle front fascia with only two nostrils, but it is not enough for me. Soon i will be making the switch to a 98 or newer WS6 because IMO it just doesnt get any meaner!

It's whatever you like, not everyone else. Don't get something just because you want others to notice you, because sometimes they are the police. I have an 02 Z28 and can honestly say that I believe if I had an SS I would have been pulled at least 3 times by now. I have flown by radar spots with police and they never looked at me(Going about 15-20 over)If I would of done that in an SS I would be owned.

 

okay, of course the ws6 turns more heads than a Z, a Z is basic, it looks the same as the v6. I get many many looks and compliments on my SS, and I am on my 3rd 4th gen camaro because I like the no nonsense styling.

Now, that said...I have to say I think the ws6 is the more bad@$$ looking car, I just drive camaros because they are more me.

 

Dude, honestly, i know it is what i like, and not everyone else. This is just a ***** and grins post for my, and everyone else's entertainment. im not really takin much of this to heart. i just wanted to know whats yas thought. in the end it is only my thoughts and feelings that will help me pick between the two.
