Putting a 6.0 truck motor in a 97 ta

One of my buddys just picked up a 97 ta with no motor and trans. and he would like to put a 6.0 in it. What does he need to change if he gets the motor and computer. Will the oil pan work or will he have to change that. He has heard that the balancer is diffrent also. What else is he going to encounter? Thanks for all of your help and suggestions.

AFAIK and I've never done this, he'll need an f-body K-member for an LS1 (I have a couple laying around), all the pulleys and accessories from an LS1 f-body, and a wiring solution for the gages.
